WWF Followers visit Samarskaya Luka

Samarskaya Luka National Park hosted guests – WWF followers from Moscow on July 4 and 5. The Park has arranged the tour around the most notable and important sights of the Luka. “Earth Guardians” – this is the they call the followers who help conservation programs and projects implemented all over the Russia. Every year “The Guardians” choose to visit some natural sites with WWF project implemented or being implemented. WWF Followers come to the Luka annually.

The employees of the Park took the guests to Bogatyrskaya Sloboda first, then presented the Lukamorye Educational Center, where they had the chance to meet all the nurselings of the animal shelter. Followers fell in love with the “Owl Collection” of the shelter brought to the National Park this year. Next, the guests made an indelible journey on Mordvinskaya bottom-land to Lbische, Ermakovo, Chapel of A.N. Lyupov and Vinnovka. The boat faced a rain squall and people aboard got wet in a second. But after the double (!) rainbow arc came over, every sad thought just faded away in happiness. To warm themselves up, guests drank herbal teas with honey sipped at the beegarden of the National Park.

The next day the Guardians reached the Molodetski kurgan peak. Then, the team went to s. Shiryaevo to visit the museum of I.E. Repin and the viewing point at the Popova mountain. The last sight the guests managed to visit before going back to Moscow was Strelnaya mountain in Zhigulevski Zapovednik. The guardians were fond of the Park and promise to come back.
